meet walter hall

Walter Hall’s sense of community spirit was instilled in him at an early age by his late parents, Barbara and Kyle Hall, but the evolution to which his involvement and civic pride has risen is truly remarkable. Now Walt intends to bring his passion and commitment for improving lives to the West Virginia House of Delegates as the representative of the newly-formed District 58.

A lifelong resident of Saint Albans and a Marshall University graduate, Walt has sharpened his business acumen as a commercial insurance agent for Morris Insurance Services, helping countless corporations reach their operational goals. Being a successful businessman has never been enough for him. In 2004, Walt formed the Saint Albans Quarterback Club, which through its “Help Us Help You” mantra led to the creation of the 25177 Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides area youth groups with an avenue to raise the money they need by volunteering for community service projects such as the “Make Saint Albans Shine” city-wide trash pickup. The 25177 Foundation also sponsors the Barbara Hall Memorial Scholarship, awarded annually to a Saint Albans High School graduate. The 25177 Foundation’s annual fundraising golf tournament has had thousands of participants through the years and is a local favorite on the calendar both for participants and sponsors.

One need only walk down Saint Albans’ Olde Main Plaza during an event such as the Fall Y’All Festival to see the impact Walt has made in his role as businessman, Chamber of Commerce member, Saint Albans Dementia Friendly Co-Chair, Community Educator for the Alzheimer’s Association, Rotarian leader, Councilman-At-Large, Vice Mayor, and 25177 Foundation President. As friendly and personable as he is dedicated, Walt is tireless in his service to his community. He can always be found working shoulder-to-shoulder with his fellow citizens or reprising his role with Susan, his wife of 34 years, as Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
